7057boot_2201362344 If you have been checking ofsound’s piratebay page, you probably notice the latest build of windows 7 is leaked.

Changes:
UAC Issue fixed
New Logon Screen
New Wallpapers
New User Pictures
Expiration Date Changed to March 1, 2010.
There’s a weird start up bug: Desktop.ini Opens in Notepad on Every Boot (fix available thanks to Chris)

Check out the overview from: Geeksmack

Now I suspect ofsound will upload 64 bit in a day or too. Stay tuned.

@Joel, i know. I just upgraded to 7048 from 7000 last week and now 7057. I wish 7048 was never leaked. Anyway, since i’m at 7048, i’ll wait a week before going to 7057. The UAC fix and extended expiration date are most welcomed in my opinion.

I can’t wait for the real RC build in April. Windows 7 was the smoothest windows ever.

Just upgraded 7048-7057, everything is working flawlessly :D
These and 7048’s torrents were fast for me!

Just to point out, I found one odd thingy from this upgrade (or maybe it was in 7048 also), I had installed English (US) and Estonian keyboard layouts, but now – there’s also a bonus one – Japanese.
I have no idea how did it get there, but just an odd thingy. :D

@blacknoise, sure there’e always the next version until it reaches RTM. However, I do think it’s good to be at 7057 if you’re still @ 7000. For me, I can’t get 7057 since my school throttle bt speed hence I have to wait until my finals week is over to get it from home, if that means no new leak.

Those who are OS enthusiasts should try out every new build but for those who care less, just wait for RC and be surprises.

You can download 7-zip Portable to extract the content from the image. Double click setup.exe to install or put it on a usb to do a clean install.
