Fix Flash Video Flickering or Stuttering in Firefox

YouTube and other flash based videos stutter/flicker in Firefox, and this is a major annoyance (usually Firefox has none) with Firefox. This does not happen with other browsers, so why is Firefox causing this? well Its because of its amazing snapshot system which takes a snapshot of your browsing every 10 seconds, this is very nice but this is the main cause of the flickering effect. So how do you get rid of it? Well there is a simple and easy fix for this issue.
- Open Firefox options with about:config (type this in address bar and press enter without quotes).
- In the configuration settings in the filter box type: browser.sessionstore.interval
- You will find this setting to be with the default value of 10000 (this is in milliseconds which is 10 sec)
- Change the value to a higher state anything more than 60000 is good but we recommend that you set it to 120000 which is 2 min or 120 seconds.
- Restart Firefox and load a flash video and now the flickering or stuttering has gone.

Buffer YouTube videos without playing them in Firefox.
As you know when a YouTube link is clicked it takes you to the video page and starts playing it, which is of course fine if you have a fast connection, if not it will get stuck until it gets buffered. This method shows you how to stop the video from being played automatically so it will buffer the video only. This is also convenient for people who open multiple videos on YouTube at once as well as you don’t have to pause each and every video manually. Greasemonkey should be installed on Firefox for this to work.

Google Starts Banning Users By Country in YouTube, WHY?????
Today the thing I feared the most happened. YouTube a service owned by Google has also started manipulating the location (Country) to ban people from accessing videos. this is really unfair. This trend seems to be catching on. What are they gaining by allowing access to people from a certain country and denying access to people from other countries?????
Its a shame that one of my favorite people in the web has also resorted to this kind of cheap censorship and stupid practices (following others like Veoh). This is disaster and Google should re-consider about this new move. I hope they will hear me out….
The video I wanted to watch was: Cascada ? What hurts the most (it was available yesterday), but guess what welcomed me?
this?..
ARE PEOPLE FROM ONE COUNTRY LESS VALUABLE THAN PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES??? WHAT IS THE MEAINING OF THIS???
Google please stop it.
Watch Higher Quality YouTube Videos
Although Now YouTube offers higher res videos as much as 480×360 (but these are not HD), but it’s an improvement from the traditional 320×240, but when you want to view the specific video, is there a link or button to view the new better resolution? well in some videos there is a link offering you to take to higher resolution, but most users miss this and end up watching the traditional 320×240 videos.
The Difference Between the Two Qualities
Here are screen screenshots from both the high quality and low quality versions of the Beastie Boys’ “Gratitude” video on YouTube. The difference is noticeable in several areas, mostly the shadows and highlights on the bassist’s hands and on the background behind him.
Here is a ways to watch and share these new Hi-Res videos without hassle.
