Firefox 3.5.5 Released
Mozilla has released yet another bug fix build for the awesome Firefox 3.5 this one is 3.5.5 and it fixes some minor bugs, and most of the add-ons are compatible with it. If you haven’t gotten it yet I advise you to get it.
Greasemonkey User Script Update Checker
Greasemonkey scripts are the best things about Firefox. These scripts make Firefox experience a loving one and also they give you limitless tweaking and styling properties. But when you install your script unlike Firefox extensions it never checks for updates. Here is a nice Greasemonkey script which checks the update of other Greasemonkey scripts. This makes sure that you stay in touch with the updates of all GM scripts and saves you loads of time which you will spend looking for the updates.

Firefox Update: AUS: Update XML File Not Found (404) error
If you have Firefox and you get an “AUS: Update XML File Not Found (404)” error when you try to update then read on. I recently got this error and couldn’t find any solutions. First i thought it must be Firefox so i even tried re-installing but no luck what so ever. The only change I have made recently is to switch to NOD 32 antivirus (used Avast earlier). After much trial and error I found out that the Web filtering module is interfering with the update. I believe there are similar problems with Kaspersky also but since i have Nod32 here’s how to disable filtering and update Firefox.
Autopatcher-Downloads Windows Updates for offline installation
Autopatcher can be described as an offline windows update installer. The advantage this has is that you don’t need to re-download all the updates all over again from Windows Update incase you format your PC or if you want to install them on a PC without Internet access. Once all updates have been downloaded you can burn them to a disk.
If you have heard of Autopatcher before then you probably know that Microsoft issued a warning ordering them to stop the project, which they did. The reason was the old autopatcher came with all the updates integrated into it. Now it is back and has been changed so that it wont be breaking any laws.
