I always wanted to create transparency using the gradient tool. I always wanted to fade it into background, there is a far more complicated way using the feather tool but I decided to post this as this is the easiest method I have come across and it works perfectly everytime.

Glass Button Effect with Adobe Photoshop

A Glass Sphere tutorial

One of the most commonly requested Adobe Photoshop tutorials is the one which shows how to create a glassy sphere or button. Never one to take a back seat, I thought I’d throw my basic Photoshop version into the mix! This is a tutorial showing how to create a glass Photoshop button set into a metallic base. The Photoshop file uses three flat shape layers with layer styles applied.
