Opera 10 Final
Opera 10 final is out. Nothing much to say here as its almost same as the RC build except for a few changes. For those who are switching from 9 there a several new features including the Opera Turbo and Auto update. You can view the full change log and features here: http://www.opera.com/docs/changelogs/windows/1000/
Opera 10 Beta (V10.00b1)
Opera 10 beta is supposed to be 40 percent faster than the previous version. This version include resizable tab bar, improved user interface, spell checker support for 51 languages and Opera turbo which can switch automatically according to network speed. This feature will definitely help users with a slow internet connection. Currently the Opera 10 beta is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, QNX, OS/2, BeOS operating systems. Use the Opera 10 beta page to download or the links given at the end of this article.
Opera 10 Turbo Preview
Opera has released a preview version of their browser included with the new opera technology called “Opera Turbo”. What this turbo thing does is that it uses server side optimization to compress the amount of data so the total amount to be downloaded will be reduced. This is similar to their “opera mini” optimization. Also this turbo function doesn’t help much (no need to actually) if you have a fast connection but its a very good experience if you use a slow connection(dialup maybe). I’ve tested the turbo function and it does seem a bit faster except in some cases the image quality is compromised heavily when in turbo mode. Secure connections(SSL) are not routed through opera servers and they will be connected directly so there is no threat to your sensitive data. This release is compatible with Windows/Mac OSX/Linux.
The turbo button can be found on the lower left of your browser

Configure Ospell to read from Gmail
• Some of you might already know this.
• Now some of the users who already have Ospell installed might or might not encountered this problem. When typing something wrong in either the quick reply field or the advanced reply, you get the following message “Error – For HTTPS Gmail, bla bla bla“.
Exceed the 9 Speed Dial slots in Opera

Ok so this neat trick will enable you to exceed the 9 slot limit for Speed Dial that Opera usually has to whatever you want.
That being said, I will now explain how you can further expand those 9 slots to whatever you want. And here are the steps.

Use Ad-Block With Opera
Recently I talked about Opera and its wonderful features and how it lacked in ad-blocking facilities, but finally I found a way to block ads in Opera.
The most easiest way in a browser to block almost any type of ads is to block JavaScript and IFrames globally and enable this for sites in individual basis. Since this is a hassle and takes up a lot of time, the other method is to create individual blocks for various ad types using the Opera urlfilter file.
Edit the urlfilter file
In some cases the urlfilter file will not have the [exclude] section. In that case please create one and add the following Optimized filter below.
Also I would like to advise you to keep the urlfilter file size to minimal, a large file with a lot of entries will slow down Opera start times considerably. You will get blank page if you try to visit a site blocked by content blocker.
From Opera 9.50, you can enable/disable content blocker globally using Block ads button or per site basis using site preferences.
Resurrection of Opera
Recently I downloaded the new Opera 9.50 Final. The only word I can use to tell you about it is WOW!, Opera was one of my least favorite browsers because, I did not like the half finished features of the opera 9.50 Betas, but this is a giant leap. I will be talking about the few changes the opera team has made to this new wonderful edition of the world?s fastest browser.
The New UI
Opera comes with a new fabulous interface, its like the combination of Mac and Vista, brilliant design and brilliant look. The previous interfaces were boring and complicated to use, I should say this one quite blows your mind away. I would give 10/10 for the interface design and the settings design, they are very user friendly, compared to the previous editions.
