Chrome + Privacy = Iron
Ever since Google released Chrome, lots of people immediately fell in love with it because of its wonderful user friendly minimalistic interface. One main issue with chrome is that a lot of people hated the lack of privacy, almost everything is monitored and each chrome copy had a unique identifier key. And almost every website you enter is checked with Google servers for security (at least that’s what they claim).
All these Issues are a thing of the past with Iron, Iron is a browser based solely on the Chromium project( which is open source of course). Iron is developed by a German company called SRWare. SRWare has made some major modifications to Chrome code and built iron so that it remains completely private, and also Iron has a URL blocker built in therefore ad blocking in iron is built in. See the difference between Iron and Chrome here. Another major option is that in Iron you can completely edit the User Agent which will be useful for some people.
Google Chrome Offline Installer (From Google)

Previously we posted on how to get the offline installer of Google Chrome by looking at the build and finding the file path and directly downloading it from the Google servers. Well no need to follow that here after coz now Google themselves have seen the need for an offline installer and created distributing their own. Its as easy as visiting a page and accepting a license agreement. Keep this page Bookmarked for future releases of chrome. But one downside is that Auto-Update does not work with the offline installer therefore you need to manually check for updates.

Google Chrome OS Screenshots (unconfirmed)
Recently Mashable.com released some screenshots of Google chrome OS. According to them these are yet to be confirmed anyway here are those screenshots for you to see. But assuming that they are real, well I kind of like them, they are following the same concept of the Chrome Browser and keeping everything simple yet elegant. But what I’m sure is that it will take them quite a bit of time (may I be bold enough to say years) to reach the functionality and UI which will allow them to take Windows 7. Anyways have a look at them and decide for yourself. In my opinion they look pretty original.
Chrome OS Coat For XP
Here is a nice theme for all you XP fans, (who refuse to change to Windows 7) well this is a chrome OS theme for XP. Its made by a deviant artist called Lenox make sure that you have patched your XP Theme.

Chromifox Extreme

I’m a huge fan of Chrome not because of its functionality but because of its UI (that’s the only thing I like about it). But luckily there is a way to have that UI in my favorite browser, that is of course the mighty Firefox.
Chromifox Extreme is FOR Firefox 3.5*, it will not work with the olderversions for that you have to use Chromifox Basic.
When you have finished Installing Chromifox, Firefox almost looks like Chrome, I say almost because some of the features of Chrome UI are missing. Like domain highlighting and hidden menu bar.
To get that Chrome feeling, install the following extensions (or add-ons).

Well LastPass team have made plug-in for most of the browsers except Chrome, now there is a solution for chrome too, but not exactly a plug-in but a nice bookmarklet. If you are using Lastpass and want to use it on Chrome this article is definitely for you.
