List of Firefox Add-ons

I know that this has been written about on this site before; it is always good to go over it again. Here is a list of the add-ons that I find are the most useful in my everyday browsing in Firefox.
ColorfulTabs
This add-on is one of my favorites. It will color every tab in your Firefox browser in a different color and makes them easy to distinguish while beautifying the overall appearance of the browser. You can customize how and what color it will color each of your tabs.

Firebug:
If you are a serious web developer or even just dabble with coding web pages, this is a must-have add-on. Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page. This means you can easily view and study other people’s code as well as your own.

Ghostery: Finds out what website is watching you
Ghostery is a plugin for Firefox that alerts you of any “web-bugs” on the websites you visit. A web-bug is a script that tracks your behavior in that site for marketing and “other” purposes. If you visit a site which uses these tracking scripts it will notify you of the scripts by displaying the scripts on the right hand side in a purple box. This purple box will display for several seconds only and if you want to view it again click the Ghostery icon in the Firefox status bar. If you don’t want to see the pop up every time you can suspend Ghostery by right clicking the icon and selecting suspend.
Vista Nature – beautiful Firefox theme
After reinstalling Windows and applying all updates and programs, I usually decorate the looks of windows. I am not a hardcore Vista theme-changing enthusiast or appearance tweaker but I like changing the looks of certain programs the way I like them most. And one of them is Firefox.
Normally I only apply glasser add-on which adds transparency to Firefox and apart that I stick with native theme, but recently I have discovered Vista Nature theme, a beautiful mixture of Xp and Vista Firefox theme. It has completely overtaken me.

Compatibility: Firefox 3
Download Vista Nature
P.s. For transparent effect you need firefox glasser add-on mentioned above.
SiteLauncher – A Speed Dial That I Love To Use
SiteLauncher is an add-on for Firefox that gives you a super-quick way to to open your favorite websites using only your keyboard. One special hotkey brings up the ‘Launcher’, followed by a unique key to launch a site.
This may be the replacement I was looking for all this while which could give me the functionality of Opera’s Speed Dial functionality without clutter and performance reduction.
This plug-in is absolutely superb and this is will become another Firefox plug-in I can’t live without. I’m absolutely addicted to it.
Every aspect of this plug-in can be customized and it can be used as a home page in Firefox 3+ and to top it up all it shows everything in a trendy customizable interface which is easy to sort, understand and most importantly use in a day to day manner, so now your favorite websites are just two key strokes away
Use Firefox addons in Google Chrome
Recently there was a huge revolution in browser technology with Google entering the browser wars with their new browser named Chrome. Well Chrome is still in Beta, yet it has some major setbacks. Unfortunately it lacks the wonderful addons Firefox has.
But since some people like Chrome mainly due to its low memory footprint, they are desperate for addons or added functionality for chrome.
So I did some searching and found some articles to make their life more happy, and compiled all the info into this article
Glasser – Aero Glass For Firefox 3
Have you ever wondered, will there be a 100% working solution that will make the Firefox skin transparent like IE7, while preserving all functions as well as look good?
Well wonder no more. It has been made, its a Firefox 3 extension called Glasser. This is not a theme, but an extension (or plug-in if you prefer to call it that way). It needs the default Firefox theme for it to work, and my god its beautiful. I’m simply stunned. It makes me love my favorite browser even more.
This addon is still experimental, but it works like a charm. I have spent a whole night testing it. But you need to have a Mozilla account in order to download it.
Make sure you are using the default unmodified Firefox theme, This only supports Firefox 3.
Restart Firefox 3
Enjoy Vista Aero in Firefox 3
