Woopra In Action

Posted on April 12th, 2008, by Joel 12 Comments

Some time ago I reported the Launch of the next generation of search stats, a stats system called Woopra in one of my posts, and gave the screen shots provided by Lorelle. Also I said that I will be writing about it as soon as I get my beta testing account approved.

After days of waiting My Woopra Beta testing account got activated (thanks to John). And as promised I am writing about it. Its a new innovation on stats, its a real time live stats display system which will completely blow your mind away!

(Questions, Clarifications, Feedback and Opinions are welcome)

Know Thy Visitor

Woopra has tons of features which allow the webmasters to get to know their visitors in realtime and even to the level of chatting with their visitors. It shows incoming searches and search queries the updating is super-fast (Real-time). If you are planning to compare this with the traditional stats systems like Google Analytics and Stat counter you can forget it. This is in another level.

All Traditional Stat Features Included

Don’t think for a moment that Woopra packs all live action but no traditional tracking like yesterdays stats and weekly stats, well it works as a full standalone stats system. Only when you click on the live tab in the Woopra dashboard you get live up to the second info on whats going on in your site.

Search your Visitors

Woopra offers visitor searches and all other searches found in traditional systems like referrer, Ip and the lot, but the searches are much faster since all the data is downloaded to your PC.

Radar Map

This is another eye-catching feature (one of many) in Woopra, this shows a target like bubble pop up when a user logins into your site. I think this was inspired by Whos Amung Us visitor map (which is also really good).

Wonderful Dashboard

This is one of the key features of Woopra, it has such a ordered and nicely packed interface which makes u get addicted to it. In the main dashboard it shows Referrers, hits by country, visitor loyalty (returning visitors) Incoming searches, most viewed pages as well as live bars which show as a bar graph as to how many are online in your site at the moment. I personally think It resembles the way the new WP 2.5 Admin Dashboard has been set up.

Well enough said, Rather than Boring you with words I will now give some screen shots and a video on how Woopra works in my PC tracking this site (these were taken after Woopra started tracking the site for several hours).

Since screen shots are images and will not show you Woopra working live I just recorded my screen so that you could see the features better.

Video Not Clear? Well get the original video I recorded before it was re-sized by You Tube below.

Finally I would like to wish John Pozadzides (inventor of the Woopra) all the very best, And I will give all my support in beta testing this wonderful system. All I can say for now is that,

I’m Proud to be a Wooprite

:D , well I have taken off all stat systems, Woopra is doing the full tracking for this site now! (about Alexa : lot of people do not like Alexa because they think Alexa is for advertisers, since we are non – commercial, we don’t have the need to shout about our rank) but saying that, we have a good Alexa rank.
