overview

Finally it’s good news, Windows Live Messenger is out of the beta stage and the final build is out. Well there is nothing much changed except a lot of bugfixes (that’s usual). So here you go get yourself the latest Windows Live Messenger 2009.

Please Note: Messenger Plus! Live does not support this new version yet, you have to wait for approximately 2 weeks for Messenger Plus Live 4.80 to come out.

To remove the ads and enable polygamy, use the Mess Patch Light from Mess.be

Download (Web Installer)

Filehippo Mirror

Direct Link (you must install all 3 of the below installers)

Messenger.msi (Thanks to Marik)

Contacts.msi (is a must to avoid 8000FFFF error)

Crt.msi (Microsoft Visual Studio Runtime)

I installed this 2009 version of Windows Live Messenger on my laptop but I can’t accept/invite webcam. I tried to run Audio and Video Setup but this is what I got. “We are unable to run audio and video setup” I’m using Vista Home Premium SP1. I don’t have this problem in previous version of WLM. Anybody can help me on this?? Thanks……….

works fine here… for full messenger you need the below stuff to be installed

Microsoft Application Error Reporting (already there)
Microsoft Visual Studio Runtime
Windows Live Communications Platform
Windows Live Call 14.0.8050.1202
SegoeFont (optional)

and these can be found here: http://dotnetwizard.net/live/windows-live-suite-all-direct-links-from-microsoft/

I’ve got the final version (14.0.8050.1202). When I sign into “MSN Explorer”, Windows Messenger automatically pops up. How can I stop that from happening. Under Tools–>Options–>Sign-In–>General, I’ve unchecked everything, but I can’t get it to stop automatically opening up. Any ideas?

Ihave installed beta 2. when i tried install the full version the installer says i have all the programs and i dont have anything to install. Is the beta 2 the same as the full version? If there are bug fixes in the full version then why it wont install to fix bugs?

@rudolfeste:

beta 2 is not the same as final :)

to fix your problem just uninstall live messenger beta and install the final version.
