IE8

Microsoft has officially released Internet explorer 8 during Mix09 conference in Las Vegas. This release follows the release of the new Silverlight beta and Expression blend 3. The new browser still lacks some features like extension support but supposed to be more secure, fast and more importantly(what Microsoft didn’t do) it is web standards compliant now. (I still don’t know about it)

As for new features it has its old features(as in beta) like  Accelerators and web slices and there’s also a new feature called InPrivate browsing. What it does is that it leaves no trace of users browsing sessions and also supposed to prevent 3rd party web sites from monitoring the user. Another new feature is a smart address bar similar to Firefox’s awesome bar. Finally it has an auto renderer feature which switches itself to IE7 compatible mode when needed.

IE8 will be available to the public through the IE8 Homepage from 12pm PDT.

I will update once i wake up ;) (if there is anything to update)
