Google Chrome out of beta: 1.0.154.36 available
Google as you know used to release beta’s all the time for its new browser Chrome, the last “beta” update version was 0.4.154.29 but now Google has announced that in their 15th release (which is already released) that they will be taking off the beta label. So what we have here is a fully functional stable product. Currently there is no change-log available. And I did not see any difference using it either (maybe because I didn’t use it much yet
)… Anyhow according to Google they have fixed some common bugs found in Chrome, improved the bookmark manger and privacy controls, also they say its 1.4 to 1.5 times faster than the beta.
What this still doesn’t have is RSS feed and extension support.
For more in-depth details about the fixes and changes visit the Google Blog.

For me, Chrome is just the best fucking web browser.
Does not have extensions but it is fast, stable, pretty and simple.

well its nice that chrome is finally out of beta though it still has a long way to go to become a complete browser. What google is offering to people as the first stable release of chrome is actually what is available on dev release as 0.4.154.33 (without Hotmail fix)..so i think i’m gonna stick with the dev release for a while until chrome is fully ready to compete as a full browser.
They are talking of adding RSS feed and extension support in future releases which sounds good..
to remain updated on Google chrome release i advice to subscribe to:

Well I don’t think that they can ever catch up the browser market without even coming close to the two Titans Opera and Firefox. I think this will go as a failure, becoz chrome lacks the most important and basic features like cutomizability and addons.

@theWizard: Just you wait. When firefox 3.1 gets released, it will blow gChrome away

Well I’m a FF devotee, chrome cant even com close to FF. and I’m already using FF 3.1 for the last three or four weeks and its more than perfect and alot faster too, Chrome can never catch up.
