Glasser – Aero Glass For Firefox 3
Have you ever wondered, will there be a 100% working solution that will make the Firefox skin transparent like IE7, while preserving all functions as well as look good?
Well wonder no more. It has been made, its a Firefox 3 extension called Glasser. This is not a theme, but an extension (or plug-in if you prefer to call it that way). It needs the default Firefox theme for it to work, and my god its beautiful. I’m simply stunned. It makes me love my favorite browser even more.
This addon is still experimental, but it works like a charm. I have spent a whole night testing it. But you need to have a Mozilla account in order to download it.
Make sure you are using the default unmodified Firefox theme, This only supports Firefox 3.
Restart Firefox 3
Enjoy Vista Aero in Firefox 3

Don’t why, but this plugin doesn’t seem to work with my Firefox 3.0.1, even when I disabled other plugins. All the menu bar and the bookmark bar turn black. Any people with the same problem?

just wondering does this support themes , meaning will it take on the propertis of the aero theme I’m using at the time , or is it just aero theme basic no matter what ??
I downloaded any way but don’t plan on using it till I do a clean install maybe tommorrow

well this is due to using this with other themes than the default Firefox theme. the screenshot was taken form my browser version 3.01 have u added any addons that modifies the default theme???
Always use the default theme. and are u using a vista version that supports transparency.

No need of a clean install. It needs DEFAULT FIREFOX 3 THEME aka Strata to work properly that’s all simple and easy

No I need clean install because of ASUS crap, What I wanted to know is if I use a UXTHEME , theme will this go with the flow as windows pages do or is it stuck as just aero I’m clear puple now will this take on that look ??

i have the same problem 2???
on September 6, 2008
Well yes it will go along with the theme you are using (UX patched theme), but make sure FF runs on default theme (aka Strata) If your windows theme has transparency, Firefox will inherit it too

Ahmm? Default Firefox 3 theme is called Strata, not Chrome.
on September 7, 2008
I used the default theme. Doesn’t work even when I disabled other plug-ins.
Hmm. Maybe the problem caused by the fact that I was using XP? Cause the word XP never existed in the article. And the plug-in does not support XP?

works fine on my vista ultimate.
maybe its because i have no themes installed other than the default one?
on September 7, 2008
Guess so, because I have no other theme installed other than the default one
on September 7, 2008
Well this NEVER works on xp, only vista because there is no way to just add the transparency without the OS theme supporting it first.
