CS4-Adobe

Old method working again visit this link:  http://dotnetwizard.net/soft-apps/direct-links-for-adobe-cs4-products

Earlier I posted about a workaround to get Adobe CS4 links before it was released to the public. But once they released the workaround used then became obsolete. Presently adobe has changed the download method again making it harder to download. So I thought of adding a new way to download them.

If you have tried to download a trial application from Adobe.com you will probably know that to download it is necessary to use the Akamai java based download manager. Currently if you paste one of their direct links it will only redirect you to their downloads page. Here I will show you how to get the direct links and how to download it using a download manager.

Keep in mind this is just a workaround and requires some patience. If you have a fast connection then you probably wont be needing this.

For this tutorial I’m going to download the trial version of Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. The download manager used here is Internet download manager.

First Create an account at Adobe.com

After creating the account follow these steps to download.

1. Go to the adobe trial products page.

2. Select “try” under the program you are going to download.

Product select

3. You will be forwarded to the sign-in page. Login using the account you created earlier.

4. In the next page select your language/OS and click the download button.

5. Now the Akamai Download Manager should startup. If prompted to install the java applet press Run. Once the java download manager is running it will start the downloads. (if asked for a location to save the files use the desktop)

Each program consists of two files, an exe and a 7 zip file(.7z). The exe file will only work once the 7z package is fully downloaded and resides in the same location the exe is kept.

6. Pause the download manager and check your download save location for a html file(Start Download Manager.html). In my case its the desktop. Open the html file using notepad or similar text editor. There you will find the direct links for your program.

html file opened using notepad

search for files= and the links will be the next lines after it.(if there’s only the 7z link that means the exe is already finished downloading and can be found in the location specified for saving files)

7. Close the java download manager. Now paste one of the links directly into the browser and press enter.

link pasted in the browser

If your download manager is activated or integrated with your browser it will catch the download now.

As you can see the link is working perfectly. Remember to add the second link as well if its now downloaded. This way you can choose any product and download it straight from adobe.

Note: For some adobe products this method may not work. i.e Adobe suite products

    If it does not work
    1. You haven’t started the java downloader at all.. or
    2. You are using a browser other than Firefox or IE… or
    3. This trick works with Internet Download Manager only

Put the bloody links directly on your page!
    Waste of time!

  5. Joel says:

@emile: if we could we would have, and it will not work anyway. Before you complain just think for a while and look if you have gone wrong in any of those above mentioned steps.

    @emile:

If I put the bloody links here you could go running around it all day and still it would not work. So read the post carefully without being a git.
