You do not need to be Tom Cruise to do that.
A few months ago I went to my family’s country house which belonged to my great grandparents. Because the house is in a very rural place there was no internet at the time. But because I intended to stay there for a few days, I really wanted to surf the internet somehow. So I used google and came across an interesting application that promised to do exactly what I needed. To browse internet offline. Pretty cool huh

HTTrack Website Copier copies entire websites and saves them into directories onto your local computer for offline browsing. It does not only copy text, but also images, videos and audio as well and smartly links and matches the content so that you can surf like you were online. All you need to do is to specify which address you want to browse offline. When the download is finished, you are able to browse the chosen website like you always do in your default internet web browser, but this time without live connection.
Mind that downloaded websites often go into tens of megabytes, but once you are done you will not just experience the fun of offline browsing and showing off in front of your girlfriend, but you will also see what speedy browsing means. There is no dns requests to you isp and other bottlenecks. Every mouse click responds instantly. This little app is totally free and comes very handy if you often find yourself in a situation when you really need to access or check certain website, but where you go there is no internet. On a plane for example. Thank you Xavier Roche for this app.
Requirements: Windows 95/98/NT/2K/XP

Oh my goodness. I just found out this app was already reviewed a year or so ago. Never mind. Better to mention it twice than never.
