FreeWatch

Were you ever doing something on your computer that you needed to time but you did not have a stopwatch handy? Or have you ever looked online for a simple free stopwatch/timer and been frustrated by the many complicated applications out there that did not really do what you wanted? Well look no more. FreeWatch is a very simple stopwatch application that will run under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Slowdown of Site – We Need More Writers
If you have been visiting in the past few weeks, the site has gradually come to a standstill. The reason is that I’m too busy to write things for the site and way more occupied in my new Job. Therefore I would like to ask any of you with writing skills to join our staff and keep the momentum going. You can write to us using the contact us form.
Hope to see some of you with our staff. We are also looking for people to moderate and administer our forums (which we are planning to start) as well.

Google Chrome OS UI Concept Video (REAL)

Finally a real video for the Chrome OS
Google did a press event demoing their Chrome OS. Here’s what we know about Chrome OS:
- It will be launched next year (they wanted to cash in on Microsoft’s PDC09. Cheapos!)
- It’s ONLY meant for Netbooks.
- The OS looks exactly like the Chrome browser.
- It’ll be locked to the hardware, like Apple the OS will come bundled on Netbooks.
- It is an Open Source project and bits are available for developers now.
- It is based on Debian. It’s basically just another Linux distro.
- Everything you do will be stored online. Notes and documents will be synced to Google Docs.
- No native applications.
- The current build can be compiled and installed on any machine.
- An App store is likely & no word on weather it will support Android apps, nothing certain but maybe.

Firefox 3.6 Beta 3 Released
Mozilla has released yet another beta for Firefox 3.6, this is the third beta meaning the RC is at hand, this beta fixes more than 80 bugs and much more stable and the improved JavaScript engine does a good job in rendering but the 3.6 is marginally faster than 3.5 I hope this will change in 3.7.
If you are using 3.6 beta 1 or 3.6 beta 2 I advise you to upgrade ASAP. Incompatible plugins are always an issue, but you can always disable compatibility checking by following this guide, but Its better you install Mozilla’s Add-on Compatibility Reporter add-on and tell Mozilla if your favorite add-ons work with the new Firefox release. This add-on disables compatibility check as well.
I have checked and I’m confirming that Firefox 3.6 Beta 3 DOES NOT break the following extensions:
LastPass
Xmarks
Greasemonkey
Ad Block Plus
Ad Block Plus Element Hiding Helper
