First Legit Windows 7 Screenshots ?
people are getting really excited about the next windows, which is known as Windows 7 or Windows Se7en. We saw a lot of discussions and rumors going around, especially 2 posts posted by Microsoft’s testers, the first post was deleted after a short while but the cached version still remains on istartedsomething. The next post also revealed few screenshots of what the tester claims to be the GUI of Windows Se7en. This post is not yet deleted and can be found in here.
The poster claims that these screenshots are from the Windows Se7en M1 (milestone 1)
Here is the translated Version from the Original chinese post: (google translator was used)
Several recent Windows seven out of the news, I am not good at Menghua against Menghua still can.
The fact is, Windows 7 is the first Milestone out, and truly act like those from naturally very far.
M1, a relatively new thing: support a number of different display adapters, which is in the same machine at the same time using different graphics to multiple monitors; update stronger Media Center. Also on Win7 plan XDDM driver can only be used for the certification of all XP die.
Win7 planning step is the release of the three Milestone, then Beta, RC, RTM. M1 is January 2008, M2 is 4 / May, M3 is the third quarter, Beta and RC to be determined, RTM is probably in the second half of 2009. Out Vista is released after a three-year, 3-year upgrade also is not bad compared Vista “five years to get” a much better reputation.
M1 ISO to get 6519.1.071220-1525, IA32 and X64 have, with or without debug information with the election, is not Free Zone, the zone is Checked.
Installation of the machines are Bealake/G33 motherboards, onboard graphics, and an ATI X300SE 128M, Core 2 Duo 2.66G, 1G memory, this configuration is not high, not just look at the run smoothly. Vista graphics board with the drive can be installed, chipset inf because no equipment to check the version, the ATI card has never available drive, give up.
Interface with the installation process is very similar and Vista, and even in the choice of different versions of the word or Vista Ultimate, Vista Home Premium, but Pre-Release agreement has been written in the text “Windows 7.” District interface automatically draw a district 500 M, seemingly in support of EFI because of this uncertainty. Intermediate will resume once again after the restart to enter the Win7.
After the start of the first set and the same Vista, including the account name, the machine name, time zone, such as the desktop background. Start the bottom of the interface, greatly read “Windows 7 Ultimate”

We were not able to verify the authenticity of these images, so we cannot confirm anything, this is only FYI

Looks almost exactly like Windows Vista Aero interface. Suspicious, too, because of fuzz behind all words, but that might just be low photo quality.

Is this Linux? Wow!
on January 27, 2008
Plus the version says 6.1 . . .

This doesn’t look photoshoped to me. They are convincing! Really!
on January 27, 2008
Some of those pictures look like they weren’t photoshoped htough. Some of them were a simple screenshot of Vista. If it’s really what Windows 7 looks like, it’s a huge disappointment.

there is no way that windows 7 could have screen shots. all the screen shots are vista not windows 7. therefor someone has either hacked or is very stupid and wants to get credit for there “screen shots of windows seven”. if u noticed u do not see the start button. why? because it is vista!!!! do not fall for this trick!!!!! THERE IS NO SCREEN SHOTS OF WINDOWS 7 AT THIS POINT, IT WOULD BE IMMPOSIBE!!!

OH MY GOD! LOOK AT THEM! THEY’RE BEAUTIFUL! A couple of Windows 7 screenshots (that look strangely like Vista)
LMAO
Never mind that, as mentioned before, this could simply be a Vista SS.
Never mind that Microsoft could be playing the game they know best….. tangling carrots in front of people who get turned on over vaporware.
I am absolutely ASTONISHED that these ss are actually being posted – by ANYONE. Who TF cares? Vista was a piece of crap RTM and it seems everyone including their mothers think that W7 is going to be the ultimate OSO (Operating System Orgasm)when, and *IF* it ever hits the streets.
Hey, does anyone wanna buy a bridge?

I don’t think these are real. Because the GUI is same as that of Vista. It might be the screenshots of Vista SP1 Beta/RC1 which were modified with any softwares like photoshop. There is also a possibility that as it is a Milestone release, the GUI was not modified. But the ‘About Windows’ box in the screenshot shows the version of windows as 6.1 and not 7.

Having all sort of skins in windowblinds, it would have been nicer, and more credible, to make a more pimped fake… I think this is real, reminds me of XP and 2003.

This is a hacked version of Linux with a Vista theme, it is certain, because MS wouldn’t violate a known copyright to the ls command in linux, they could make their own, but it couldn’t act the same or have the same letters(ls) so they stick with the old MS-DOS(bought by bill, not made by him) “dir” command

Jesus Christ, lets get things staight.
Thats NOT photoshopped… why?, well its obvious if you use some brains O_0
-se7en is still in planning stages THEREFORE all which is here is simpy a base code and kernal, hence why the screenshots look very much like vista.
-Dont you guys remember the first longhorn (vista) screenshots? they were very much like XP.
- se7en is due to be released in 2011 therefore what the screenshots show will most likely not be in the final version and much more different.
And why would you wanna photoshop it, doesnt seem the effort, id just be wasting 5 minutes of my life if i were to.

Dude! I just realized after looking at it that in the About Windows dialog, it says “Version 6.1″ right under the big Windows 7 thing. Huge give-away, but still a nice photo-shop.
Mini, you have a point about it looking like XP. Maybe they just forgot to change the 6.1 thing yet.

They might be real, the alphas are there, any of M$ employees could bring a copy home for an evening, nobody would notice. And after all, they have to start off from something. They don’t make it from scratch, they use their previous product as the base (and why not?). I am not sure if THESE are real screens, but there is no reason why they couldn’t be. There are also videos, videos can’t be photoshopped (yet
)!
